Childline team with children celebrating Childrens day

The Konkan Development Society South Goa Childline, as part of the ongoing weeklong campaign with an aim to make ordinary citizens stakeholders in the Childline programme by pledging that they will be true friends of every child who is in need of help, the Childline Se Dosti initiative organised Children’s Day for 30 children and few parents at the Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim from 11:00am to 4:00pm on November 14, 2021.

Police Inspector, Tukaram Chavan of Colva Police Station was the chief guest of the day. Speaking on the occasion PI Chavan spoke about safety of children and the measures to safeguard themselves from the dangers of the society.

The celebrations began with the cutting of the cake. The Childline team members organised ice breakers and conducted group games for the children in which their parents also participated along with their children. The team on the occasion put up a skit on the topic of, bad touch in a public bus and showed how the child can seek help from Childline 1098. Coordinator, Blanco Dias also explained the concept of Good touch and Bad touch.

Later, the team members put up a dance performance for the children. Children also took part in the dancing with the mascot (Doremon). Post lunch the children played more games and with a joyful heart returned home with little takeaways to mark the day.
