DB Odxel ADMA Makes Lenten Pilgrimage to Sulcorna

Visitors from DB Odxel at MHOC hill Sulcorna

The ADMA unit of Don Bosco, Odxel participated in the Lenten pilgrimage to the miraculous statue of Our Blessed Mother on the hill of Don Bosco Sulcorna on March 15, 2020.

ADMA Members, Cooperators and friends of DB Odxel community visited Don Bosco Sulcorna as part of their Lenten pilgrimage. Arriving early the visitors participated in the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Spiritual Director, Fr. Marvin.

Later the visitors gathered at the foot of the hill of Our Lady Help of Christians and were led by in the Way of the Cross by Fr. Bernadino, SDB with a meaningful introduction and deep reflections on the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. At every station Fr. Bernadino quoting the passage from the Scriptures, helped the faithful reflect the present Christian living. The visitors carried a wooden cross from station to station while the members each made a small crosses of the palm which they on at the eleventh station nailed it on the wooden cross symbolizing the sacrifice of Christ who bore our sins on the cross and ultimately with the sacrifice of his life, redeemed us from our sins. The Way of the Cross ended at the sepulcher, a tomb built at the fourteenth station below the Statue of Mary Help of Christians. The participants prayed for the deceased members of our families and for the souls of the dead. Finally gathering at the Statue of Mary Help of Christians on the hill, the pilgrims concluded their Lenten journey with a prayer led by the animator Fr. Bernadino.

Post lunch the DB Odxel visitors returned from their pilgrimage to the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, Sulcorna, an outing enjoyed and spiritually enriched with peace and joy.
