C-CODES in association with the Department of Computer Engineering and Alumni Committee, Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) organised a webinar on Information Security on September 15, 2020.

The webinar was conducted by Shwetang Naik, an information security associate at Fiserv Pune, Maharashtra and Professors Merwyn D’Souza, Siya Naik and Janhavi Naik, of computer engg. dept, DBCE under the guidance of Prof. Merwyn D’Souza and Prof. Siya Naik.

The session gave the participants an insight about protecting the data without any misuse by an unauthorized third party which is very useful in the military, commercial, personal and financial sector. Participants learnt about the various security testing types such as, Penetration Testing, Application security and Infrastructure security. Topics such as, OWAPS (Open Web Application Security Project), Top 10 most critical security risks concerns for web application security, how Google stores user data and if required can look into it were also discussed. Shwetang Naik also gave a brief demo on how to perform SQL injection.

Prof. Janhavi spoke on Audit and compliance. The webinar concluded with an interactive question and answer session.
