The Nature dress me up, youth activity was organized by Don Bosco Youth Services as a part of Celebrate Earth 2020 on September 13, 2020.

It is rightly said that there are various art forms in nature, one of which was harnessed in this activity where the participants used natural elements such as leaves, flowers, sticks, vegetables and a plethora of other items, to prepare elegant ornaments for themselves.

The participants in an online session presented beautiful ornaments made from nature and gave a brief explanation of its scientific names and medical uses ending with a short meaningful message.

Tiaras, bracelets, necklaces, broaches and earrings were some of the items made using materials such as fresh flowers and vegetables, various leaves, seashells and also coconut coir.

On the whole, the event showcased how the beauty of nature can be used as a substitute for artificially made ornaments. Summing up in the words of a participant, everything is accomplished beautifully with nature.

The judges for the event were Hazel Carvalho, a teacher from Don Bosco Panjim, Maria Brazinha Moraes, an art lover with a talent for crafts and Ronan Baretto, art teacher from Fr. Agnel High School, Pilar.
