DB Oros Holds competitions during lock down

The staff and students of Don Bosco (DB), Oros, under the guidance of Principal, Fr. Jonathan Ribeiro, refused to allow the pandemic dampen their spirits by participating whole heartedly in a series of competitions organised through the week.
Mime Competition: Students of the Junior College actively participated in to depict a character or narrate a story in a mime at the Mime competition. Marcel Marceau, legendary 20th century French mime artist, came alive in their acts. The acts were video-graphed at their respective homes and shared with their class teachers. An act on washing-hands and saving water made it to the top of the charts.
Puppet Making competition: The Puppet Making competition open to all classes was held. Creative puppets of animals, birds, cartoon characters and dolls on strings made from coloured paper, ice cream sticks, gloves and socks, fabric and beads were presented in the competition.
Mono Acting competition: Students of class8 to 10 participated in the mono acting competition were they depicted leaders of the country and famous personalities. The acts were very well done, making it difficult for the on-line judges remarked a teacher.
Advertisement Enactment: Students of class 5 to 7, enacted advertisements with original scripts and ideas. Skills of expression, voice modulation and dialogue delivery was commendable said Principal Fr. Jonathan appreciating the active and enthusiastic participation of students.
Recitation competition: Students of Primary section participated in a poem recital competition. Expression, feelings and rhythm of words were the criteria on which they were adjudged.
The competitions marked the beginning of the academic preparation for the forth coming examinations which is around the corner said Principal Fr. Rebeiro.
