Don Bosco College (DBC) Panjim, successfully organised a leadership workshop for the third year Business Administration students animated by Leadership Studio, Panjim, Alan D'Souza recently.

The workshop covered relevant topics like teamwork, power and influence, self-motivation as well as responsibility and support, essential for becoming good and proficient young professionals. Quoting examples such as, Neil Armstrong and how it did not mean just a single man stepping on the moon, but an entire team, Alan made the sessions very practical and enjoyable for the participants.

He also pointed out that teamwork is about collaboration. The strengths of every team member differs from others, so also the weaknesses of opposition groups and finally, true success is achieved when the team uses all these individual strengths for the best output, he added. Speaking on power and influence Alan said, true leaders are those who leave a mark on people even after they are no longer among them.

The takeaways from the fruitful session were, develop self-confident, think positively, never lose hope, respect others’ opinions, grow as much as you can while helping others to grow too. These are the traits that lay the foundation of makings of a true leader. Citing examples of Ratan Tata, Alan left every participant with a goal to work towards meaningful success.
