DBC celebrating Christmas with inmates of MBBS

Don Bosco College (DBC) Panjim organized its annual Christmas Celebration for students and teachers with much fanfare despite the pandemic this year. To share the joyful spirit of Christmas, a list of requirements at the various old age homes and orphanages was made and the same was arranged. Although most of the students could not be present due to the ongoing restrictions, they contributed generously to the contribution drive either in cash or kind. The staff joined the students by contributing handsomely to spread the Christmas joy and be a part of the celebrations.

The teachers visited Margaret Bal Sadan Saunstha (MBBS) at Uccasaim and donated school bags and the much-needed groceries to the children living there. The children joined in singing the Christmas carols along with the teachers. Asilo Old Age Home at Bastora, ASRO Home for HIV/AIDS Children at Thivim, Provedoria Altinho were also visited. Every home was provided with dry groceries, health supplements, grains and adult diapers for the elder inmates. The literary committee of Don Bosco College also distributed books to the less fortunate children.

The staff and teachers celebrated Christmas by hosting a pot luck at the college. Joy was in the air as the teachers exchanged gifts organized through the Secret Santa. Carol singing was also held, adding cheer to the day.
