Idea presentation at DBCE held Internal Idea PoC competition

Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) Fatorda, Goa has been selected to establish Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, MHRD Institute Innovation Cell (MIC) (https://www.mic.gov.in/) to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) pan India with the primary mandate to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative years said, Director DBCE, Fr Kinley D’Cruz.

Under the aegis of MHRD MIC, an Internal Idea/PoC (Proof of Concept) competition was held online to invite ideas from young minds on February 8, 2021. The event helped validate a product/ business idea for potential. The teams shortlisted in this competition would qualify for the next level as specified by MIC. Corporate Relations Manager, Venugopal T R at Forum for Innovation Incubation Research & Entrepreneurship (FiiRE), and Assistant Professor, DBCE, Prof Flavia Leitao, were the judges for the event.

Professor, Swapnil Ramani, host and co-ordinator of the event said, 100 plus students joined the meet. Participating teams presented useful ideas that addressed various issues faced by the society. Solutions to issues such as, how could small time and amateur chefs reach out to open markets to how citizens of our country can voice out about issues concerning laws and freedom he added.

Team Hexacore together with Solutionism, Fabulous Five and SATRN Squad were adjudged as finalists.
