Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda Goa, department of electronics and telecommunication, organized its monthly Knowledge Sharing Session, under the R&D cell on February 17, 2021.
The session by Roland Gomes was on, Mobile Phone Photography and Editing. He spoke on the different types of cameras which are classified on the basis of sensor size and viewfinder mechanism. He then explained the advantages of using mobile phone for photography such as, portability, ease in shooting, uploading on social media, simplicity and affordability.
Gomes, also explained in details with the help of examples the different compositions or rules followed in photography such as, rule of third, balance, top view, bottom view, leading lines, patterns, symmetry, perspective, foreground and background. Lastly, he spoke on lights, shadows and explained the different aspects to be kept in mind before taking a picture.
The day ended with a hands-on session on using the mobile photo editing app, Adobe Lightroom. Different features of the app and how it can be used to edit pictures was also discussed.
The event was encouraged by R&D Chair, Dr. Varsha Turkar and coordinated by Prof. Flavia Leitao.
