DBCE Out reach program at Govt School Kalay Goa

Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda Goa’s Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student Branch in association with IEEE Bombay Section Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as part of the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) organized an Outreach Programme at Government High School, Kalay, Sanguem, Goa under Goa Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan on April 19, 2021.

The main objective of this event was to make students aware about the Electronics & Telecommunications field and to assess the availability of the resources in the laboratories. The invited resource persons were Prof. Yeshudas Muttu and Prof. Mohini Naik Gadekar.

Prof. Gadekar in her sessions spoke on, Electromagnetic Wave and Spectrum. She introduced the students to basic electromagnetism concepts. She also demonstrated the transmission and reception of the data using Morse code kit.

Prof. Muttu, enlightened the students on, Electrical, Electronics and its applications. He briefed the students about the basic electrical and electronic components used in our day to day life and the physics behind it. Later, students were familiarized with basics of robotics, interfacing devices like sensors, motors, etc. and integrated electronics & electrical to build a robot.
The event concluded with Karishma Naik proposing the vote of thanks.
