DBGYFF held at Don Bosco College Panjim

Don Bosco Institute, Panjim, hosted the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival (DBGYFF) on November 18 and 19 2021. The festival was hosted by the department of Mass Communication for students and faculty of the higher secondary school and college.

The festival was inaugurated by Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim, Father Clive Telles who declared the festival open with the clap of the clapper designed for the festival. The other guests on the occasion were Director Don Bosco College Panjim, Father Joaquim Lobo, Co-ordinator, Department of Mass Communication, Nikita Chodankar, Faculty Don Bosco College, Panjim, Agnelo D'Souza and Archie Fernandes.

The Inaugural, was followed by screenings of the select short films made by youngsters of the Don Bosco family from all over the world. The theme for the festival was, Moved by Hope, which was successfully conveyed through different stories and genres. Films such as Cracked, Special glasses, A little more blue, are just a few of the exceptionally conceptualised short films that showed hope through aspects of global warming, positive perception, gender identity and much more.

It was indeed a thought provoking and learning experience for all opined students of Mass Communication. The festival ended on a good note with a hope for optimism and uplifting strong positive messages disseminated through the medium of short films said Father Lobo.
