DBCA Sets up Red Ribbon Club

Don Bosco College of Agriculture (DBCA) installed the 166th Red Ribbon Club on college campus under the Goa State AIDS Control Society, Government of Goa, and was inaugurated on April 11, 2022.

Resource person AYUSH Medical Officer, Dr Samixa Verlekar from Public Health Centre, Quepem made a presentation on, HIV/AIDS and explained the need for creating awareness to prevent the spread of the disease among the people. She also answered queries from the students.

Assistant Director of Youth Affairs and RRC In charge, Jeunesse Fernandes and Assistant Director, Care Support Treatment, Goa State AIDS Society, Panaji Goa Diksha Parab also graced the function.

The program began with the welcome speech by Dr Shreyas Jadhav and felicitation with flowers to the dignitaries. The oath was also administrated to the students and college faculty members. Diksha Parab explained various important activities undertaken by GSACS and their significance.

Sulochana Xete thanked the officials from the Goa State AIDS Society and all the members in the audience. The program was coordinated by Sagar Palconda, Physical Education and NSS Director.
