The Salesian province of Panjim successfully organized Catechetical Day for the Don Bosco School students of standard IX on the topic, Eucharist on February 11, 2023 at Don Bosco Animation Centre (DBAC), Benaulim, Goa.

The purpose of the event was to create awareness and educate the students on the Eucharist and how it is the central part of Catholic faith. The event also aimed to provide an opportunity for the students to learn about the Eucharist and how it can be incorporated in their daily lives.

Sixty students participated in this one-day event coming from three Salesian schools, Don Bosco Panjim, Don Bosco Sulcorna and Don Bosco Oros. Education to Faith, Delegate, Father Bernardino Almeida welcomed the participants and introduced the topic of the day. Father Austin Fernandes, in his session spoke on the Eucharist. The talk was interactive, and the priest encouraged the students to ask questions and participate in the discussion. After the talk, the students were divided into groups, and a workshop was organized for them to understand the Eucharist practically and to incorporate it in their daily lives.

Vice Provincial INP, Father Banzelao Teixeira celebrated the Eucharist for the participants. Post lunch the students of each school presented a Eucharistic miracle in the form of a skit. The event concluded with some energetic action songs by Father Patrick Dias and Cleric Alan Manuel.
