‘Samabhav’ Film Festival had a perfect end

Men Agaisnt Violence and Abuse (MAVA) in collaboration with Don Bosco College, Panaji’s department of Social Work hosts a year’s great-start event: SAMABHAV film festival, a two day film festival for the youth solely based on gender, masculinity and relationships.

The second day, Jan 9, 2019 marked the last yet most enthusiastic time of the festival. With a set crowd of students and other delegates, intriguing films left minds in thought about the actual perception of gender and the society accepting the same.

The occasion commenced at 9:30 am with the screening of five Videos by Partners of Law Development Discussant Adv. Albertina Almeida. This was succeeded by films like End-Beginning (Anthadi) with discussant Christine, The World Before Her, with Discussant Mamta Kumari, Nakusa (Unwanted is my name),Velvet Revolution with discussant Asawari Nayak, Dreaming Free : 4 short videos by students of School of Media & Cultural Studies, TISS with Harish Sadani and S. Durga with Discussant Mamta Kumari and Harish Sadani.

The event concluded at 6:30 pm with zeal and contentedness and youth with minds to express and accept gender and differences well.
