One week SketchUp software training for TE Civil Students of DBEC held

Students of DBEC TE civil with the organizers of SketchUp training programme

A week long skill development training on SketchUp for the third year civil engineering students of Don Bosco College of Engineering was held from July 1, 2019 to July 6, 2019.

SketchUp, formerly Google SketchUp, is a 3D modelling computer program for a wide range of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, film and video game design was conducted to provide the students with an all-round development.

The training was organized by the Civil department of Don Bosco College of Engineering and was conducted by Kamat EduTech LLP, Margao. Ms. Aarti Kamat and Mr. Vishal from Kamat EduTech were the resource persons for the training workshop.
Ms. Aarti Kamat explained with a presentation the definition and different applications of the software in industry. Mr. Vishal started with the training on the basic commands. The course continued with a detail explanation of the software and hands on practice for the students throughout the course. The students completed small exercises given at the end of each day and finally submitting an assignment at the end of the course.

In all, 61 students successfully attended the training and completed it with flying colours and meriting a Trimble certification.
