Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda (DBCE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turbocam (India) Private Limited, manufacture of sophisticated aero foil components for aerospace, power generation, automotive and other industries at Margao Industrial Estate, Goa on October 4, 2019.

The purpose of this MOU is to collaborate with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of DBCE for Industrial Internships, field visits, Guest lectures, Student Projects, seminars/workshops, corporate training programs, Skill Development etc. The collaboration will provide a platform where experts from the corporate with relevant experience and expertise will share knowledge in the area with changing technological scenarios. It will help to develop research and innovation ability and entrepreneurship skills among budding engineers. It will also facilitate exchange of facilities and knowledge among both the organizations. It will also facilitate research among the faculty members.

The MOU was signed by Director, Turbocam India Pvt. Ltd Savio Carvalho and Director, Don Bosco College of Engineering Fr. Kinley D`Cruz. Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar, HOD Mechanical Engineering Prof. Ajit Salunke, Assistant Prof. Swapnil Ramani, and members of the Engineering Department in Turbocam were also present on the occasion.

Savio Carvalho in a presentation about the company Turbocam illustrated the history, products and locations of Turbocam across the globe. He gave an insight into the various CNC machining operations, quality check using sophisticated equipment like CMM, non-destructive testing etc., carried out at the plant. The presentation ended with a tour of the plant.
